#1 Get into Routine

There is nothing harder than having your body get back into a routine of waking up early when school starts. This will ensure that you’re bright eyed and ready on the first day of school. When getting up earlier, you’ll also want to try and get into bed earlier, as well. Getting your body back into a school time routine will prepare you for everything that the upcoming year will bring.

#2 Create a Plan

On the first day of school, things are bound to be hectic. If you have a plan mapped out ahead of time, this will ease the nerves of everyone. Take a trip and map out your route for morning drop off, or navigate the parking situation at your college or university. This will prevent lateness on the first day of school and give you a good idea of what to expect. Additionally, if you’re a student in college, you may also want to take the time to map your route around campus to ensure you have enough time to get to each class.

#3 Gather Supplies

With back to school comes the school supplies list. Most stores that sell school supplies offer great deals right before school starts and now is the time to find the best deal. For college students, most professors don’t set a concrete list of supplies that you must bring on the first day, but you’ll want to be sure to stock up plenty of notebooks and pens to last the semester.
